Business Events in Tasmania Deliver on Delegate Satisfaction and Exceed Organiser’s Expectations

06-Mar-2012 | In last month’s newsletter we shared results of the Business Events Tasmania Delegate Survey which told us that business events in Tasmania rate highly on satisfaction because of the:

  • friendliness of the locals
  • food and wine experiences
  • business event organisation
  • restaurants
  • business event facilities.

This month we would like to share some of the comments we have received from the organisers; below are excerpts from some of the letters we have received recently.

These comments provide strong testament that Tasmania is an exceptional business event destination; we will also share the good news with our clients!

2011 Red Cross National Conference

"Formal and informal feedback from the conference delegates and team confirm that on any measure, this was the most successful national conference in recent memory. The unique combination of a wonderful venue and setting around the harbour, close proximity to tourism assets, and the friendliness of the city in general provided the 450 plus attendees (many from overseas) with an experience they will remember for a long time.

Australian Red Cross will be delighted to assist Business Events Tasmania to endorse and promote the Tasmanian conference brand as our experience was so positive.

Thank you again for your wonderful support."

Australian Egg Corporation Annual Conference

Launceston - 2011

"We completed our feedback forms given to us by the delegates and the venue got the highest marks across the board for food and beverages, the helpfulness of the staff and the accommodations. We had a very successful conference".

Australasian Professional Society on Alcohol and Other Drugs Conference

Hobart - November 2011

"The conference was a great success with delegates very happy. We were very happy with the venue and catering and the staff at the Grand Chancellor were lovely and very helpful, they made the conference that much better and the exhibitors were very impressed with them."

7th Annual CEO/Head of Staff Symposium

Hobart - February 2012

"Associations Forum was very pleased to hold our CEO Symposium in Tasmania for two years in a row. The popularity of the event in 2011 by delegates, speakers and staff meant it was an easy decision to return to the Henry Jones Art Hotel in 2012. CEO's of associations have busy jobs with many responsibilities, so the fact that charming Hobart was the destination gave our high-level event even greater appeal.

Our decision to invite heads of staff of associations and charities to the CEO Symposium was certainly well received. For the first time ever, we sold out the event - and a month beforehand!

Associations Forum members in attendance, plus senior sector representatives from New Zealand and the USA, were all impressed by the destination, venue, catering, surrounding attractions and hearty welcome they received in Tasmania."
