Business Events Tasmania Secures Funding for the 2012-13 Financial Year
01-Jun-2012 | Business Events Tasmania CEO, Stuart Nettlefold is pleased to confirm that, despite a challenging State government budget, Business Events Tasmania has secured $540,000 for core activities and $170,000 for the Meet in Tasmania Incentive scheme for the 2012-13 financial year. Business Events Tasmania has also increased its financial support from both Hobart and Launceston City Councils.
Mr Nettlefold said, "The confirmation of funding for the next financial year is evidence of the confidence of these key stakeholders in Business Events Tasmania. Business Events Tasmania is delivering extremely good outcomes for Tasmania. Importantly Business Events Tasmania, in partnership with the tourism and hospitality industries and local businesses, delivers visitation and high yield expenditure during the shoulder seasons and low season. Our industry focuses on activities that deliver economic stimulus as well as social, educational, trade and innovative benefits to Tasmania."As the new financial year is rapidly approaching, Business Events Tasmania membership subscriptions will soon be sent to all members.
