06-Oct-2011 | The Choir of High Hopes is available for one hour ‘Corporate Encounter’ performance workshops. During this experience, choir members take corporate groups on a musical journey to discover first-hand the discipline required to sing successfully as a team and the further step of courage required to train and shine as a solo leader.
Recently 30 choir members and 20 people from the Calvary Health Care management team combined for an encounter to demonstrate the benefits and power of song in personal development.
Calvary Health Care Lenah Valley Campus CEO, Michael Krieg, said “The Corporate Encounter with the Choir of High Hopes was a wonderful and eye-opening evening for our management team. I highly recommend this experience to other organisations who want to build team spirit at the same time as encouraging their staff to extend their understanding of issues in our community”.
For the Choir of High Hopes Hobart, Corporate Encounters are a means of financial support and social inclusion for members on their own journey of discovery and re-engagement with society through the choir family and the power of song.
The Choir of High Hopes Hobart was formed in October 2007 to give disadvantaged Tasmanians an opportunity to find their voice and reconnect with their community through song. Delivering each and every song with conviction this choir has performed for and deeply moved thousands of people in Tasmania. In the process its members are finding new confidence and purpose in their lives.
Choir Board Member, Jim Playsted, can be contacted on 0437 222 600 or at jplaysted@harcourtshobart.com.au for further information and bookings.
