Eagles Eyrie, Maydena Tasmania - an extraordinary venue not yet discovered...
06-May-2010 | Recently completed, the Eagles Eyrie will be the most exceptional venue in Tasmania.
Photography by Richard Bennett.Located on the edge of the pristine South West World Heritage Wilderness, the Eagles Eyrie is a 75-minute drive from Hobart. The design brief was to create a building that blended into the landscape yet offered unparalleled views of the ‘rooftop of Tasmania’.
This amazing building 1100 metres above sea level achieved both minimising its footprint and creating a low profile while maximising the sweeping vistas of this unique landscape. The building developed by Forestry Tasmania is also a celebration of timber in its construction while demonstrating the potential of sustainably sourced local species.
This exclusive venue will be available for events of up to 80 people. While the location will take your breath away, the dining you will experience with in-house caterer Waji Catering will showcase the very best of Tasmanian produce, creativity and excellence.
Whether it's a board-room lunch for 20, full dinner, a wedding, gourmet barbecue, birthday or cocktail party, your client’s expectations will be surpassed. With over 20 years experience in the hospitality industry, Waji Spiby has a reputation for delivering innovative cuisine.
Waji’s contemporary style and exotic blends of French, Asian and Mediterranean flavours will ensure that your next function is anything but ordinary.
Forestry Tasmania and Redbanks have teamed up to bring a range of exciting Olympic sports to the site. Clay target shooting, archery, sling shot and target rifle shooting can all be arranged for an exclusive team building experience in the stunning surrounds of state forest.
The Maydena Adventure Hub also offers a unique opportunity for day trips and adventures including reclining trikes, our all terrain four wheel drive bus and even an opportunity to visit the area of the last Tasmanian tiger sighting.
This very private location will be sought by many, but experienced by few.
