30-Jun-2009 | Tasmania will knock your socks off. That is the message in the new TCB advertising campaign encouraging business events organisers to take another look at our island as a destination for their next event.
The campaign was born from data that shows that client’s perceptions of Tasmania are changed dramatically, in a positive way, when they participate in a familiarisation or site inspection. Most clients had negative misconceptions about the destination before their visit and left with Tasmania clearly on the map as a destination for future events.
The ad is imageless, asking clients to forget ‘what they think they know’ about Tasmania and take another look.
The TCB has purchased the domain name www.knockyoursocksoff.com.au, which the ad directs clients to. The new webpage will be used to track the effectiveness of the ads before directing clients to the TCB website.
The ad will appear in the next addition of MICE.net Magazine.
