Welcome New Manager, Marketing and Communications - Karen Fraser

01-Dec-2011 | Karen Fraser recently joined the Business Events Tasmania team as Marketing and Communications Manager.

Karen has an extensive career in tourism including having worked in inbound, MICE and destination marketing. You may already know Karen as she comes to us from Tourism Tasmania where she worked for 16 years commencing as Marketing & Product Manager for Tasmania’s Temptations Holidays, then as International Marketing Manager for over 10 years, followed by a role in the Strategy & Planning unit as Head of Operational Performance.

With her industry knowledge and experience, and passion for Tasmania, she is a perfect fit for our team. Karen will be working Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays and can be contacted on 6224 6852 and kfraser@businesseventstasmania.com.

Update from Karen: "Well, here I am on day 2 of week 2 just about to wrap up this Members Update. Already, due to the warm welcome I have received from the Business Events Tasmania team and industry that I have been in touch with, I feel as if I have been here for years!

Projects that I am currently working on include a new Corporate and Incentive Brochure to be released at AIME. This brochure will be a motivational tool that will also include key facts those business events planners require when considering a destination.

I look forward to reconnecting with those of you I know and to meeting all BET members in due course. In the meantime, I wish each of you all the best for a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!"
